MOSEK ApS announces the release of version 6 of the MOSEK optimization tool products.
The major improvements and new features are:
- Faster and more stable simplex optimizers.
- Faster interior-point optimizer notably for conic problems.
- Included a problem analyzer.
- Improved the Python interface.
- Added support for MATLAB R2009B.
- Added support for OSX 64bit x86.
Regarding performance improvements then the stability and speed of the simplex optimizers have been improved significantly. On average the primal and dual simplex optimizer solve large-scale linear problems 25% faster respectively. The interior-point optimizer for conic problems has been rewritten and now solves medium to large size problems 25% faster on average.
